Lifestyle at Seabury - Wellness, Intellectual Opportunities, Cultural Events and more!

Location, Location, Location...

Nestled on a lovely hillside on the former A. C. Petersen dairy farm in Bloomfield, CT, with vistas in every direction, Seabury enjoys the perfect location. Surrounded by over 150 pastoral acres, yet convenient to so many points of interest, Seabury is located in the corridor between New York and Boston. Although in a country setting, Seabury is just minutes from the major highways of Interstates 91 and 84, and Bradley International Airport is 10 minutes north off Route 91.

Rich Cultural Experiences...

With the centers of Hartford, West Hartford and the Farmington Valley just a short distance away, members of the Seabury community have the advantage of a rich cultural experience. Hartford Symphony, Hartford Stage, Wadsworth Atheneum, Bushnell Theater, the Connecticut Science Center, the Mark Twain House and Museum, Harriet Beecher Stowe Center, the New Britain Museum of Modern Art, the Talcott Mountain Music Festival, and many smaller artistic venues are some of the many attractions available to you. Further from Seabury, but still close enough to enjoy for an afternoon or evening outing, are musicals at the Goodspeed Opera House, the Longwharf Theater, the Oakdale Theater, the Peabody Museum, the Yale Museum of British Art, the Florence Griswold Museum, Mystic Seaport and the Mystic Aquarium. There are a myriad of attractions west of Seabury in Litchfield and the Berkshires; for example, the Norman Rockwell Museum in Stockbridge and Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Connecticut also has many wonderful State Parks to enjoy.
