Health Care at Seabury
Your well-being is Seabury's primary concern. Our mission is to provide an independent lifestyle with the finest health care available for your future. We offer our Life Care Contract residents a wide array of health care services with an emphasis on wellness. Individual wellness plans are developed to promote successful aging. Your Life Care Contract provides health care in the Seabury Wellness Clinic, Assisted Living in The Views, Assisted Living in our Memory Support Center (Seabury Meadows), and Long-Term Nursing care in our on-site Health Center at no additional nursing care cost.
Seabury Wellness Clinic Physician Services
At Seabury you may use the services of your current physician or, if you prefer, you may use one of Seabury's Board Certified Geriatric Physicians. You may also visit our health care professionals during scheduled office hours at the Seabury Wellness Clinic. Registered Nurses are available in the Wellness Clinic for consultation, administration of medication, wellness counseling/
health promotion and other services. Glaucoma checks and special screening clinics for blood pressure are held regularly as part of our commitment to your good health and well-being.
Seabury Home Care*
Seabury has its own Home Care Agency, licensed by the State of Connecticut. Comprehensive Home Health Care services can be provided for short-term assistance in your cottage or apartment. Seabury Home Care is Medicare certified and accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO).
Seabury's Assisted Living Services Agency*
Seabury's Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA) is designed to provide short-term assistance in your independent cottage or apartment. Independence is maintained through supportive personalized care. Seabury's ALSA is licensed by the State of Connecticut and JCAHO accredited.
Assisted Living - The Views
As part of our continuum of care, Seabury offers our residents long-term assisted living in The
Views which is located in our on-site Health Center. Seabury's own Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA) provides the supportive services needed in The Views and is licensed by the State
of Connecticut and JCAHO accredited.
Memory Support Center - Seabury Meadows
Seabury Meadows, an Assisted Living Dementia/Alzheimers Community on the Seabury campus, is designed to provide comfort, reassurance, and memory support by professional, compassionate staff in a safe and secure environment. Programs focus on individual abilities to encourage each resident to function at the highest level of independence possible. Seabury Meadows is licensed by the State of Connecticut and JCAHO accredited.
Skilled Nursing Care
Twenty-four hour state-licensed skilled nursing is available in Seabury's Brewer
and Davis Centers located in our on-site accredited (JCAHO) Health Center. Seabury provides the highest standard of nursing care and rehabilitative therapies by providing excellence in personalized service. Each resident is treated with dignity and respect in our warm and friendly surroundings.
Rehabilitative Services
Seabury has an on-site licensed Medicare-certified Rehabilitation Department that provides inpatient/outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapies.
*Services for Payment
Services provided through Seabury's Assisted Living Services Agency (ALSA) and Seabury's Home Care Agency in your independent living unit are not considered part of the Life Care Contract. Podiatry, Audiology, Mental Health, Social Services, Rehab Services, Therapeutic Massage, and Physician Services are also not included in the Life Care Contract. These services may be covered by Medicare, health insurance or private payment.
