Seabury is proud to be a recognized site for the Connections Project, which provides innovative cognitive training programs designed to improve memory and cognitive function. The Connections Project is funded by a grant from the Federal Administration on Aging thru the State of Connecticut’s Department of Social Services. Seabury Meadows Memory Support Center, an Assisted Living community located on the Seabury campus, is designed to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s or related memory impairment. Seabury Meadows provides innovative care that promotes independence and social interaction, while also providing the added safety and security our residents require.
The Seabury Meadows community consists of 46 private and 6 semiprivate rooms with full bath. These apartments make up four “neighborhoods” each of which has a living room, activity room and country kitchen. The neighborhoods surround a Town Square where residents can enjoy the Library, Technology/Media Room, Beauty/Barber Shop, Café and Chapel. Garden terraces in beautifully appointed courtyards afford residents a secured environment for walks, visits with family members, and outdoor activities.
A Licensed Nurse is on site 24 hours a day.  A Board Certified Geriatric Physician and Board Certified Geriatric Psychiatrist oversee coordination of all care. We are licensed by the State of Connecticut. Seabury Meadows dementia trained staff members are knowledgeable and compassionate in the care they provide to our residents. Relationships build as the staff becomes an important extension of the resident’s family. Each resident is treated with dignity and respect in warm, friendly, and secure surroundings. Personalized service and compassion for each and every one of our residents is our creed.  A wide variety of activities are available daily, based on individual needs and abilities.
The Meadows offers an extensive calendar of programs designed to enhance and stimulate the residents’ memory. In addition, social, spiritual, fitness and wellness and recreational programs are offered for the well being of our residents.

Seabury Meadows offers family members ongoing support and education in understanding Alzheimer’s and related memory impairments. Each month a newsletter goes out to all family and friends. (To read what one family had to say about the care their loved one received click here.)

Seabury also holds a monthly Alzheimers’ Support group which is open to the Community--we invite you to join us on the second Tuesday of each month from 3 – 4:30 P.M.  For further information or to schedule a tour, please call Beth Lomasky at (860) 243-6024 or email her at bethlomasky@seaburyretirement.com.
